Remove fEstasAzulCorrupta and fix corrupted documents
Background of fEstasAzulCorrupta.
The fEstasAzulCorrupta is a malicious computer virus that specifically targets and damages Microsoft Office document files. This virus is known to propagate through various channels, including certain websites on the internet, peer-to-peer file-sharing networks, and removable devices like flash drives. It can also be inadvertently acquired through the download and installation of unverified freeware from unreliable sources. Once inside your system, fEstasAzulCorrupta affects older Windows Operating Systems (prior to Windows 8 & 10) by embedding files into the system and altering the computer registry. This alteration causes the virus to automatically activate with each system startup, potentially hindering security software from effectively blocking the virus’s operations.
The primary mode of corruption by fEstasAzulCorrupta involves injecting malicious code into the headers of Office documents and appending the text string “fEstasAzulCorrupta” to the filenames of affected files. This infection process can significantly slow down your computer as the virus actively works to corrupt the Office-related documents stored on your machine.
This fEstasAzulCorrupta is quite destructive and you might suffer irrecoverable data loss.
Can it be removed and will I be able to recover my files?
Removing the fEstasAzulCorrupta virus is relatively straightforward, though it does require some time dedicated to running various virus and malware scans. However, when it comes to file recovery, the situation presents both positives and challenges. The current effective tools can only restore files with the .docx, .xlsx, and .pptx extensions. Unfortunately, older Office document formats such as .doc, .xls, and .ppt cannot be salvaged, as the recovery tools are not equipped to repair these versions. This means that only documents created with Office 2007 and later versions might be recoverable.
There have also been cases where even newer version Office documents couldn’t be fully restored. Since the virus compromises the headers of the document files, expect some discrepancies in the documents’ formats and formulas. These changes may result in the documents appearing slightly altered. However, it’s important to note that the core content of the files typically remains intact, despite these modifications.
Steps to follow to remove fEstasAzulCorrupta.
Below are the steps to follow to remove fEstasAzulCorrupta from your computer. There are some pre-requisites which you need before continuing. They are:
- Download the free fully functional version of Kaspersky AntiVirus (or any other well-known antivirus) here: https://www.kaspersky.co.za/free-antivirus
- Download SuperAntiSpyware here: http://www.superantispyware.com/downloadfile.html?productid=SUPERANTISPYWAREFREE
- Download the fEstasAzulCorrupta_docx_fix application here: https://www.techstudio.co.za/wp-content/uploads/2017/03/fEstasAzulCorrupta_docx_fix.zip
- If you are unable to download the file from the link provided, please make use of our online chat feature where we are able to send the file to you (please note our online chat is only available between 08h00 – 16h00 weekdays, GMT+2, South African time)
- Install Kaspersky antivirus (or your antivirus of choice) and perform a virus definitions update.
- Install SuperAntiSpyware and perform a definition update as well.
- Perform a full virus scan and remove any threats found with the Antivirus software.
- Perform a full anti-spyware scan with SuperAntiSpyware and remove any threats found with the software. You might have to restart the computer after each scan. If you are confident that all threats have been eliminated, move on to the next steps.
- Launch the fEstasAzulCorrupta_docx_fix application to start repairing the corrupted files. You will have the option to recover a single file or perform a batch process.
- For this article, we will make use of the batch process option. Click on batch “Batch Process”.
- Browse to the folder containing the files which you want to recover. Do note that for batch processes, it will only attempt the repair of files in the specific folder and NOT sub folders. Each folder containing files will need to be repaired individually.
- When all the files are repaired in the containing folder, you can delete the files containing the fEstasAzulCorrupta in the file name. But please do note and make sure that the files which are deleted have been recovered as a copy of the file will be made and the fEstasAzulCorrupta will no longer be in the file name. As mentioned, .doc, .xls & .ppt files will not be recovered, only .docx, .xlsx & .pptx files will be repaired.
- The files are now repaired, but Word, Excel or PowerPoint will display some warnings when opening up the file. Word and Excel will need to repair the files individually as well. You can start to open the repaired files individually, and you will receive the following prompt (for this article, a computer running Windows 7 and Office 2010 were used):
- Click on OK and then the following warning will display:
- Click on YES. The following (or something similar) will display:
- Just click on close.
- Now you will have to save the file again. The best is to overwrite the file, but you will need to browse to the directory (if Windows did not automatically assigned the file name and location), and overwrite document which you have opened. You will receive the following prompts:
- Click on SAVE.
- Select the file to overwrite (do note not to overwrite the wrong file) and click on SAVE.
- Select “Replace existing file” and click on OK.
- Just click on OK again to confirm the message displayed.
You can now open up the file again to make sure it is working as desired. Again, as mentioned, you might need to adjust some formatting again as the fEstasAzulCorrupta corrupted most of the file but not the content.
Conclusion.
Clearly, the fEstasAzulCorrupta virus poses a significant threat to Office files. However, there’s a silver lining: it’s feasible to retrieve the contents of newer Office file formats (such as .docx, .xlsx, etc.) that were created post-Office 2003. This recovery is possible through the use of the fEstasAzulCorrupta_docx_fix application.

woooh many thank you dear abasson , now I have successfully recovered my documents
hi
I have followed the steps as directed and have successfully deleted the affected documents / files.
is the virus still lurking in the background or is it totally off the computer. How would i know?
Is there another removal process i have to initiate?.
Hi Deon. If you have followed the steps, the virus should be completely removed from the infected computer. It is always best to have a trustworthy antivirus installed and active at all times. Always make sure you have the latest Microsoft operating system updates installed as well. You do not have to initiate a further removal process. If the antivirus and / or anti-spyware software detected it and successfully removed it, it will be removed.
Thank you the article helped me to clean and remove bad files in my computer. Thank You again

Hey guys. I am using window 10, having a bit of trouble. Followed all the steps, but when i open it, it is telling me that my data is delimited. Not sure how to go from here. I am trying to open the copy of the repaired file and not the infected one. Please help. It seems that my outlook data has been damaged as well. I am using my webmail at the moment.
Good day. Trust you are doing very well. I am not that familiar with the “delimited” issue (unless it is an Excel or CSV file which gives you that issue). The Fix on my website has (to be honest) very limited functionality as it recovers the later version of Office files (like .docx / .xlsx / .pptx / etc.). Older version files might not be recovered at all. You migt also try to download Kaspersky free at: http://www.kaspersky.co.za/free-antivirus to run a full system scan.
Regarding your Email data (Outlook). If you are using POP3 email settings, then most likely, your emails have been downloaded from the server to your PC locally. Then the recovery might become a problem. If you are using IMAP settings, then you can confirm if all your emails are on the server (webmail), and afterwards create a new Outlook profile with the IMAP account settings. Personally (and this is just my non-subjective opinion), IMAP is the better setup to use as you have some redundancy and have a local and server copy of your mailbox.
All the best of luck and I will respond to you soon if I can get the relevant fix for the problem you are experiencing.
The best tool to restore the deleted data and the other utilities like windows registry problems, disk space management, system tweaks and many more the Glary Utilites is best must give it a try.
Thank you for your suggestion as well Jurgen. If someone else make use of this tool, they should comment as well and provide their experiences with it. I for one would primarily suggest to invest in proper backup hardware and software (especially businesses). Some awesome cloud backup software I would recommend are the Acronis software packages. If you want a free backup application / service which you can schedule to run automatically and make use of incremental backups, would definitely be Cobian backup. When you have a proper backup solution, then the need to restore deleted or lost files would be minimal. But in the worst case, there are some very good software out there, like you mentioned, Glary Utilities.
Thanks
You’re a legend, many thanks. RSA.
Awesome! Glad you found the solution helpful.
